The paper expects to basically inspect the chances and the dangers related with distributed computing and makes a substantial determination on its selection by associations. Distributed computing: Definition, Models and Services Distributed computing was at first utilized in a scholastic point of view by Prof. Kenneth K Chellapa who delineated it in 1997 at the Informs Conference in Dallas as ââ¬Å"a registering worldview where the limits of figuring will be dictated by financial method of reasoning as opposed to specialized limitsâ⬠(Petri, 2010). There are different meanings of distributed computing anyway the most suitable and comprehensively acknowledged definition is being given by North America National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST). As per NIST, ââ¬Å"Cloud Computing is a model for empowering helpful, on request organize access to a common pool of configurable figuring assets that can be quickly provisioned and discharged with negligible administration exertion to specialist co-op interactionâ⬠(Petri, 2010). There are many distributed computing models for business purposes including: Public Cloud: Public cloud model is given by merchants and can be gotten to over the web o r private system. At least one server farms are utilized by this model which is shared by various clients (Weitz, 2010). Private Cloud: Private cloud model is overseen and utilized inside by the associations which uses ââ¬Ëshared administrations modelââ¬â¢ and makes variable use of virtualized processing assets. The information put away in the model are overseen inside the association (Weitz, 2010). The model is intended to meet certain particular needs of clients (Weitz, 2010). Network Cloud: Community cloud model is utilized over the associations having comparable prerequisites and targets. Network cloud model is built up utilizing open cloud benefits so as to guarantee cooperation among the organizations (Weitz, 2010). As of now, organizations are increasingly keen on moving permitting programming to buy in administrations especially based on per client and every month among others (Weitz, 2010). Stage as-a-Service (PaaS): Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) incorporates advancement of such condition that permits designers to construct programming applications that can be offered as administrations to clients or to general clients (Weitz, 2010). Framework as-a-Service (IaaS): Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) gives clients or clients stockpiling, arrange and different basic asset prerequisites so as to run subjective applications (Weitz, 2010). Macbeth A Great Man Torn Apart By Vaulting Ambition Essay Example For Students
Macbeth A Great Man Torn Apart By Vaulting Ambition Essay William Shakespeare, a famous writer, composed various moving plays, for example, Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet. He composed numerous plays in the Elizabethan period yet composed Macbeth when King James I went ahead the seat (Jacobean time). Macbeth is an extraordinary man destroyed by vaulting aspiration. Three witches, a notion of the time, show Macbeth is future to send his life spiraling into insensibility. Witches were the dread the time. The Jacobeans were cognizant about whom they would associate with as everybody and anybody could be a witch. You were executed in the event that you were a witch in any case, at that point the witch preliminary would murder you on the off chance that you werenââ¬â¢t. You would almost beyond words you were an elderly person that lived all alone; she had a pet typically a feline, a fledgling or a frog and here and there a blemish on her skin. So black magic was paid attention to very in those occasions. Macbeth was a genuine ruler in the Jacobean period who submitted regicide against King Duncan of Scotland. In the Jacobean time the entirety of the residents accepted that God picked the lord and that the ruler had a high status in the chain of being. The chain of being was a pecking order that individuals were naturally introduced to, for instance God was at the top and the earth was at the base. The spot, on the chain, which you were naturally introduced to, can't change since God picked it and on the off chance that you challenged it you would be viewed as a miscreant since you conflicted with Godââ¬â¢s wishes. This could likewise be known as the normal request, sex additionally had an enormous influence in this since it was normal for a male to be higher than a female. Shakespeare utilizes emotional incongruity a great deal to construct strain all through the play. Shakespeare utilizes sensational incongruity when Macbeth does his monologue and mentions to us what he is feeling and what he figures he ought to do. This constructs strain. .nsure of the characters musings and what they will do in the scene. At the point when Shakespeare utilizes thunder and lightning in the scenes this additionally assembles strain in light of the fact that itââ¬â¢s secretive yet in addition since it shows the heavenly powers of the witches. As Macbeth was a genuine lord that submitted regicide it makes the story progressively practical for the crowd and makes the play come to live. This constructs strain since they realize this could occur and that it is conceivable. It is likewise entirely reasonable in light of the fact that right now there was war and unfairness happening all over England and Scotland. Thus since they had confidence in the incredible chain of being and the normal request of things it turned into all genuine as this is the means by which they life, in actuality. Then again it would be unbelievable when Lady Macbeth was the predominant player in the relationship and afterward turned into a leader of Scotland.

An Open Letter to MIT Applicants
An Open Letter to MIT Applicants Today on social media, I was greeted with an article about how one student chose to become part of MITâs class of 2018. While I have nothing against major news platforms and donât want to belittle stories that highlight some of the awesome things that MIT students are working on, I canât imagine how much it would terrify me if I read this sort of thing before applying to MIT. Itâs so easy to become overwhelmed by hearing about the ever-so-exciting lives of your friends offline or online, and that only amplifies when all of a sudden you imagine competing with these people for a spot in a university. There is a ridiculous amount of pressure from both adults and peers to be the âperfectâ student or âperfectâ applicant to colleges when perfection doesnât even exist. The problem with articles that hype the extraordinary things about a small subset of people is that they have the power to make you undervalue your (perhaps less-national-news-worthy) achievements. My goal is not to scare or put down or invalidate anyone who has pursued summer internships in labs at universities, has been working on college application essays since junior year, took SAT/ACT prep classes and practice exams until their hands cramped, extensively researched colleges since junior high, or came from a family of engineers and businesspeople. I just want to reach out to the applicants who read descriptions of seemingly âperfectâ students who have all of those qualifications and more, and feel their heart sink because they donât feel like theyâre good enough. Successful applicants really do come in all shapes and sizes and backgrounds, and you canât discredit yourself solely on a standardized test score number. Let me tell you how I ended up here. As a senior in high school, I knew college applications were coming up and that everyone in my high school was expected to apply somewhere. I talked with my dad a little bit and he described his college search process: he picked a couple schools that were affordable and seemed okay academically, wrote a couple essays, applied, was accepted by a few, and went to one. No bells, no whistles, no stress. So when I met with my school counselor and she expected me to have a list of no more than 12 schools ranked by difficulty to get in (âReach,â âComfort,â and âSafetyâ) with a breakdown of application pieces and statistics for each one, I immediately felt underprepared. I hadnât thought about which schools to attend; I had never cared about academic reputations or given any really serious thought into what I wanted to study in college, and all of a sudden it was all very REAL. I chose all my schools (including MIT) on a whim. I picked a variety of in-state and out-of-state schools to give myself the option to leave home if I was feeling brave. I looked into art schools and schools with forensic science programs and Ivy league schools mostly just because I had heard their names before. MIT ended up on my list because I read about the hacks and a couple of admissions blog postsâ"it seemed like a school with a sense of humor, and I liked that. I probably stumbled across College Confidential at some point and thought the idea of a bunch of competitive people swirling in an eddy of college-induced panic was stupid. I didnât care about online rankings of âTop 100 Schools in the Worldâ nor debates about Harvard vs. Yale nor application acceptance rates for any school. (Again, Iâm not trying to insult you if you do/did participate in the College Confidential community or ravenously devour top school news articles. It just wasnât my thing, and I really, really want to stress that itâs okay whether it is or isnât your thing.) Personally, I was really apathetic towards the college search process. I hoped to get in somewhere, but I really wasnât concerned where because I had no idea what I was going to do with my life. I had always assumed that I would continue exploring my options throughout college, rather than having to decide beforehand before Iâve even begun to learn about what options exist. Whereas some people in my grade were searching for schools with great reputations for a specific major like computer science, I genuinely didnât know you could study something called computer science (basic HTML was, in my mind, something I Googled and used to customize my Tumblr theme, not a tiny piece of a huge field of study⦠boy, was I wrong) But a fire was sparked when my counselor took a look at my list and, with a dismissive tone, said some spiel along the lines of: âCeri, youâre going to have to revise your college choices. You have too many âReachâ schools⦠With your math SAT scores you wonât get into a place like MIT, so you should probably just take it off and make room for another âSafetyâ school.â All of a sudden, this authority figure who I had very little respect for in the first place was telling me what I could or couldnât do with my life, and that made me really angry in a defiant-teenager sort of way. If these schools didnât want me, they would have to say so themselves. A stupid school counselor wasnât going to make me feel inadequate and stop me from even trying to apply. (Hint: This parallels how a stupid article online should not make you feel inadequate and stop you from even trying to apply. #litanalysis) So I kept my list the way it was, and began my applications. I wasnât the âperfectâ applicant in any way, shape, or form. Sure, on paper my grades were good, and I had some really great teachers to write my letters of reference. But mostly, I had a lot of luck. Iâm lucky that I had people who inspired me to have such diverse interestsâ"humanities teachers who taught me how to organize my ideas and construct compelling narratives, science teachers who brought in tectonic plate models or a bunch of organisms suspended in formaldehyde to emphasize learning by visualizing and actually doing things. Iâm lucky that I had a friend who had a car and wanted to cross-enroll with me so we could take calculus at another high school because my school didnât offer it. Iâm lucky my family is financially stable enough for me to volunteer as a summer camp counselor and play games with kids to teach them curiosity and science, rather than working at a grocery store or fast food restaurant like a lot of people my age. Iâm lucky I had a friend who was the president of drama club who roped me into designing and building sets, which led me to befriend our janitor and learn how to use power tools and construct structurally-sound furniture pieces in my free time after school. Iâm lucky my friends patiently coaxed me out of my socially anxious shell so I would try new experiences, actually join extracurricular activities, and even hold a couple little leadership positions by senior year. Iâm lucky I had a friend crazy enough to want to make a documentary with me about Nazi propaganda filmmakers for a history competition, and another that wanted to write and perform a short play about marine chronometers for the same competition. And Im lucky we did pretty well in that competition and got to travel to Washington DC and meet kids from all around the United States. Iâm lucky that I remembered all these things about myself and didnât worry about other peopleâs college applications. I didnât read example essays or try and force myself into the mold of a student who has overcome immense hardship to succeed academically. I didnât overwrite my essays and give them to 10 different people to proofreadâ"I handed them to my dad and asked âDoes this sound like me?â In my essays, I tried to avoid being the 1,000th person who said they would want to travel back in time and speak to Gandhi about social change, and instead wrote about how I wanted to be like Kaylee and explore space with a crew that felt like family. When MIT asked me to describe the world I came from, I told them about how media has played such a huge role in shaping who I am today, how fictional characters have taught me innumerable lessons about friendship and self-sacrifice and everything in between. This wasnât to ignore my familyâs role in raising me, to avoid discussing the fact that Iâve grown up with both Asian and Western cultural influences, or to write something solely to make me seem like a special snowflake. It just felt like the most genuine response I could give, and I like writing stories far more than writing a checklist of facts about myself in essay format. Rather than spending weeks brainstorming and writing these essays, I generally wrote them and turned them in within a 72 hour time span. One application at a timeâ"check, check, checkâ"until they were done, usually (embarrassingly) close to the due date. I can almost hear my high school counselor, and maybe even more across the nation, yelling at me for my apathy, âYou should take the college application process very seriously!â Once the apps were in, though, I stopped worrying. It was out of my control. If anything, I was most concerned about getting into the University of Washington because thatâs where I thought I would go, starting the college experience surrounded by a lot of people of my high school. Long story short, Iâm positive I didnât fit any sort of profile for the ideal applicant to a highly technical school like MIT, yet for some reason they gave my application a second glance. So you shouldnât have to worry either, because thereâs nothing more you can do other than be yourself, be honest, and be grateful for the opportunities youâve had to push yourself and find passions and learn and grow. (Besides maybe quadruple-checking your essays for spelling and grammar stuff. I could totally write a much less sappy âhow to college essayâ post if people wanted some advice regarding that.) I know there are other people on campus like me, with minimal technical background but a mighty curiosity and passions for art or science or building or whatever. Those of us that applied to MIT by chance, got in by some MIT admissions officer believing in us, and chose to commit because of the people we met here. And there are plenty more people completely unlike me, who were lucky or hardworking enough to go to some of the best schools in the nation with rich learning environments and resources, or who put in a lot of time and effort to take college classes or take on intense personal projects and expand their knowledge. But weâre all here now, working and learning and growing both as a community and as individuals. Promise me you wonât worry about other applicants or what other people say about how impossible your dreams are or application stereotypes. Donât allow MIT to become an all-consuming dream because people can have just as enriching college experiences elsewhere. Some of my very fondest college memories have been drinking tea and talking with my friend at Brown, believe it or not, since the MIT bubble can become stifling after a while. You will find your community of people, as long as you have the courage to go looking for them. Life works in crazy ways so, please, donât panic. ?

Essay on Is Media Violence At Fault For Societal Violence
The links between media and societal violence are only to be assumptions of the public. For one thing there are many other contributors to violence; so, how is anyone really sure that media is at greater fault. Media violence these days is really just a replica to societys everyday life. Without such activity taken in real life there would be no ideas for music, movies, television, basically nothing for the news crew to talk about. These guidelines are involving things like a rating system with warning labels before shows air, a marker used for advertising shows, public service announcements about the effects of violence; also includes public health campaigns in schools, that address violence the way current programs deal with drunk driving and/or drugs like D.A.R.E. Where Have You Been and Where Are You Going Free Essays
When comparing the two characters in the short stories made me think of a quote, I heard growing up as a kid. ââ¬Å"Telling a teenager the facts of life is like giving a fish a bath. â⬠Now reading these two stories the truth of that quote rings true. We will write a custom essay sample on Where Have You Been and Where Are You Going or any similar topic only for you Order Now As teenagers we were invisible to life and the consequences of those decisions. I made many mistakes, as teenagers that, I now realize were foolish and not intelligent. Life lessons are tough as Sammy and Collie both discovered. In the short story of ââ¬Å"APâ⬠Sammy is a hormone driven young teenager who is attracted to three young girls that walk into his store on a slow day in nothing more than a suggestive swim suit. In a hormone obsessed stupor Sammy wants to impress these rebellious teenage girls. As you read the story you see how Sammy becomes enamored with the three young girls in what can be only describe as erotic and stimulating instantly. Sammy describe one of the girls swim suit as the straps ââ¬Å"were off her shoulders looped loose around the cool tops of arms, and I guess as a result the suit had slipped a little on her. (Kennedy 17) This is definition of hormones because any young man is hoping to catch a peek at a naked woman. As a teenager that is what you pray for at night. Sammy became even more turned on when her eyes moved ââ¬Å"across the racks, and stopped, and turned so slow it made my stomach rub the inside of my apron. â⬠(Kennedy 17) This could be considered Sammyââ¬â¢s first lustful affair from afar. Sammy wants to be noticed by these girls but the moment hasnââ¬â¢t presented itself. Mr. Lengel gives him the perfect opportunity to become their champion. When Mr. Lengel express to the girls how inappropriate their appearance are for a grocery store. Sammy went into a fit of anger to be dramatic from his future suitors. In Sammyââ¬â¢s mind these young beautiful teenagers were making a declaration of loveliness that existed only on a higher level and it was free of the codes of the average grocery shopper. Sammy resigns in an attempt to defend their honor, but recognizes his foolishness when the girls leave without giving him as much as a glance. In the short story of ââ¬Å"Where are you going. Where have you beenâ⬠was a very hard trying piece to read. Connie is a young girl and knows it all. Connie was a typical teenager female who only concerns were her looks, popular music, and boys. Connie was preoccupied with her appearance that she would crane ââ¬Å"her neck into the mirrors, or checking other peopleââ¬â¢s faces to make sure her own was all right. â⬠(Oates 381) Connieââ¬â¢s mother would reprimand about being so vain and belittled her by placing her older sister on a pedal stool to live up too. Connieââ¬â¢s mother urged her to be more responsible which is something we all heard as teenagers. Connie wished her mother and sister was dead because she wanted to be her own individual. Connie like a typical teenager felt invisible and she ignored her motherââ¬â¢s warnings. Connie is able to hang out with her friends because June had set a good precedent. Connieââ¬â¢s best friendââ¬â¢s father would drive them to the shopping plaza and pick them up with no questions. Connie and her friends would use the shopping plaza as the meeting place but only to run to the dine-in to meet boys. Sunday afternoon the family goes to a barbecue at the Auntââ¬â¢s house. When asked by her mother if she wanted to go, Connie rolled her eyes and said no because she wanted to feel independent plus she was to good to hang out with little kids and play. Connie was a grown woman until Arnold arrived and brought back to reality. This story is sad responsibility and paying attention to her surrounds is important. Connie cried out for her sister and mother when Arnold was abducting her with no success. The same people she wanted dead for independence she wanted to save her from this monster. The similarity between the short stories by John Updike and Joyce Carol Oates shows how as teenagers we act impulsively, we are invisible, and no care for consequences. Not until later after time realize our mistake but it is to late to correct. Those mistakes are called life lessons and that is what both these characters have in common. Sammy and Connieââ¬â¢s lessons is simple as a teenager you are not untouchable but vulnerable to lifeââ¬â¢s painful lessons. How to cite Where Have You Been and Where Are You Going, Essay examples

Answers: 1.A group of laws and implementing organisations which are enacted by a country so that the rights of the consumer within it can be ensured along with promotion of competition, availability of appropriate and adequate information and fair trade in the market. According to Corones (2014) a place where the seller and the buyer come together to do business is known as the Marketplace. The intention of the seller is to make money from sales and that of the buyer is to purchase something they want or need. The situation is suitable for both the buyer and the seller as long as there expectations are met. The government for the purpose of controlling the market enact a number of laws giving rights to the consumers in relation to the quality of goods they purchase from the sellers. In addition Consumer Protection insurance that the sellers do not indulge in any kind of conduct which is likely to deceive on mislead the consumer (Stadler 2013). According to Ramsay (2012) consumer protection is one of the most essential needs of the society because without a proper Consumer Protection framework it would be impossible to establish a market where the expectations of both the buyers and sellers can be fulfilled. In the contract for sales the bargaining power of the consumer is always lower than that of the seller. Thus, consumer protection ensures that the bargaining power of the customers are enhanced by providing them specific rights with respect to the transaction (Cvjetanovic 2013). Consumer Protection laws ensure that fair trading practices are initiated in the Marketplace. Through these laws the sellers and manufacturers become more accountable towards the quality of goods provided by them for sale. Consumer protection ensures that consumers are not taken advantage of in the Marketplace and if such event occurs they can be compensated for any loss which has been incurred by them. In case consumers are not provided protect ion it would evidently lead to the downfall of the market and subsequently the economy of the country. According to Latimer (2012) consumers are the base of any Marketplace and if they do not feel protected it would lead to unwanted chaos and problems within the society. The purpose of any business organisation is to make profits, thus, protecting the customers through the consumer protection laws ensures that the organisations do not cross the line in order to maximize their profits and bring detriment to the society. Consumer law in Australia had been initially developed through an agreement between the Council of Australian governments. Anti-trust legislation in Australia was passed in the year 1906. The Australian government considered the Sherman Act 1890 used in the United States to base the Australian Industries Prevention Act. There was an amendment to the Act in the year 1911, however it could not become effective. In the year 1965 Australian government passed another Act which was based on the Restrictive Trade Practices Act 1956 belonging to the United Kingdom. Further in the year 1974 the successful Trade Practices Act was passed, which contained strong legislative measures for the purpose of enhancing competition and efficiency in business and to prevent restrictive trade practices along with providing protection to the customers from any kind of unfair trade. The Trade Practices Act 1974 was replaced by the Australian consumer law through schedule 2 of the Australian Competition and C onsumer Act 2010 (Richards et al. 2012). 2.The scheduled 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 is a set legislation for the protection of consumer and is applicable as the law of the Australian Commonwealth alongside being incorporated into the law of the state and territories of Australia. Provisions which were incorporated in the trade practices act 1974 are broadly reflected for the new consumer law along with a few additional protections for the consumer. Most of the provisions related to consumer protection of the states and territories legislation are incorporated in the Australian consumer law. A broad definition has been provided by the Australian consumer law in relation to who is a consumer. The Australian consumer law defines a consumer has anyone who purchases services are good with have a value of less than $40000, any person who purchase a good or service which is required for ordinary household purpose even if it is of a value of more than 40000 and anyone who purchases at trailer or a vehicle for the pu rpose of transporting goods on public roads. Even if the goods have been purchased for the purpose of re supply or for any kind of trade and Commerce the buyer would be regarded as a consumer. Accordingly the new Australian consumer law enhances protection in relation to product safety and quality, business behaviour, farms and businesses (Pearson 2017). The Australian consumer law recognises and identifies unfair terms to be void however if the contract can be continued without the presence of that unfair term contract would still be applicable. All the sellers are prevented from engaging in a conduct which is unconscionable while dealing with any other person with respect to trade and Commerce. The Australian consumer law prevents any seller to engage in a conduct which can be misleading or deceptive or is likely to mislead of deceive any consumer in relation to the contract for sales of goods or services. Further the Australian consumer law prevents any kind of bait advertisements which is used to induce the customers to increase the demand of particular goods or services without having the intention to supply them (Barnett and Harder 2014). The enforcement and administration of the ACL is done by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission along with the state and territory Consumer Protection Agencies. The Australian Security and Investment Commission also takes part in the administration of the law when it comes to Financial Service matters (Akinbami 2011.). The federal jurisdiction of the law is also applicable to the behaviour which is done outside Australia by an Australian citizen, a person who is ordinarily resident in Australia and a body which has been incorporated or carries out business in Australia. The federal regulation also supervisors over the conduct of corporations, the supply of goods and services to Corporation or accusation of services and goods from any person by a Corporation other than public companies which are listed. All other matters which come under the provisions of ACL are governed by the states. Consistency between jurisdictions is promoted by the implementation of identical Consum er Protection laws in both the states and the Commonwealth as it becomes convenient for the Federal government to amend laws without initiating any debate in relation to the laws in the jurisdiction of the state or territory. 3.In case, a person is not satisfied in relation to the goods and services procured by him in Australia, he has the option of claiming relief both from the court system and outside. The Australian consumer law provides consumer guarantees to the consumers. According to this guarantees if the product are not in accordance with the reasonable expectations of the consumer it is the liability of the seller to repair, refund or replace the goods or services. In addition if a consumer is harmed because of the use of such goods or services it is also the liability of the seller to compensate the consumer for the harm caused to him because of such use. There have been several cases in Australia where fines and penalties have been imposed on businesses for the breach of Australian Consumer law such as the case of Australian competition and consumer Commission vs Bunavit Pty ltd 2016 FCA 6, ACCC v Whistle Co Pty Ltd 2015 FCA 1447 and ACCC v Reckitt Benckiser Pty Ltd 2015 FCA 1408. These cases have not only resulted in the payment of pecuniary penalties but also the cost which was incurred by ACCC with respect to the case along with the corrective notice in business franchise Australia magazine. Whenever there is a problem related to the quality of goods the consumers must always follow a three step complaint process. In the first step a complaint should be made to the seller and the problems regarding the service or the goods have to be discussed with them so that it can be resolved. Secondly through the use of consumer guarantees and the provisions of refund, replace and repair the problem should be solved as far as possible with the seller outside the court through the process of negotiation (Australian Competition and Consumer Commission 2017). However, if the problem does not get solved by following the previous steps a consumer may write a complaint letter to ACCC briefing the problem. A dispute which has a value of less than $12000 can initiate a minor civil action in the Magistrate Court. For disputes involving a value of more than $12000 and less than $100000 are eligible to initiate a claim in general claim division of the courts. Where the dispute involves a value of more than $100000 a claim can be initiated with respect to such dispute in the district and Supreme Court of the respective states and territories. Prior to initiating a litigation process a notice of intention to sue in a way of a final notice of claim has to be provided to the service provider or the business (Consumerlaw.gov.au 2017).
